Narrator: I would like to tell you a story, about an event from long ago,

You must first meet our main characters, a lovely couple we all know.

(Joseph and Mary walk onto stage.)

Joseph: Hi, my name is Joseph, And this is Mary, my little wife.

We must go and pay our taxes, but you know - that is just life!

Mary: I am going to have a baby, and it may be very soon,

Oh, look, there is an Inn - Maybe they will have a room.

Narrator: They were hungry and tired, they had traveled so far,

They had prayed to their father as they looked up at the stars.

Narrator: From one inn to another, no-vacancy they read

But they kept pressing on, So far, God had led.

Narrator: They spotted an Inn with a fancy looking door,

As the door slowly opened, they saw people on the floor!

Innkeeper #1: I wish that I could help you, on this cold and dreary night,

But my inn is overflowing - People are packed in tight!

Narrator: Let's try this one, Mary said , her voice it was so weak

Just then the front door opened, and the innkeeper did speak.
