"Noah's R" - This play is about a group of kids who are getting ready to go on stage to do their Easter program. Each one has a letter and a little verse to say as they spell out the words "HAPPY EASTER". However, Noah, who is supposed to hold the letter "R" decides at the very last minute that he is not going on because he is tired of always being last! The play concludes as he finally realizes that the letter "R" is the most important letter in the two words! For ages 7-12. Easy to direct. No scene changes. Only props needed are large letters printed on poster board. Good message.15-20 min. Perfect for Easter Sunday morning! |

This play - even though the concept sounds "child-like" (dressing up as presents)- is for older teens and/or adults and really has a good lesson about Jesus being the true meaning of Christmas. If you would like to include smaller children, you could incorporate a manger scene as the Christmas scripture is being read. "GRACE" - This play takes place at Christmas, 1956, with the cool cats in leather jackets and girls in their pony tails and poodle skirts. Johnny, the new boy in town, is also the new soda-jerk at “Cookie's,” the local soda shop. His “Mr. Nice Guy” attitude rubs Danny, the local trouble maker, the wrong way. Johnny was previously a “bad boy” himself but has changed his ways. Through his dealings with Johnny, Danny learns of the magnificence of God’s Grace. Main theme: Grace is the unmerited favor of God. Even though none of us deserve it, God showed us Grace in the form of His best – His Son, Jesus Christ. Length: 30-35 minutes. Teens, young adults. No scene changes. |
